Does anyone know what the corret tyres are for a W107 1979 SL?
They currently have: 205-60-R15 90H

It's really the weight rating that I'm interested in as I don't have the manual and don't know which rating to buy.

Also, if possible, does anyone know the correct pressures?

many thanks
Dave

Hi Dave,
I don't have a handbook either for the W107 SL, but I have a 'Portfolio Book' for this model which I checked through and the only model I could find with 15" wheels was the 560SL (US market). I hope this might help:
the 560SL had cast alloy, 15x7J wheels with Michelin XVS 205/65VR-15 tyres on them.
I couldn't find tyre pressures tho, yet.
I hope this is helpful in some way.

came with 14 inch "mexican Hat" or baroque type alloys by Fuchs, and from what I can guess at, Avon tyres in 195 section. Imo, you'd be silly to trade the performance advantage offered by modern tyres just to maintain a "concours" look, but I use mine as a daily driver in summer , and want it to grip and stop as well as the other cars on the road. Michelin tyres were certainly popular choces in the 70s with Mercedes, so won't be far off for a period feel.
