275 are what come standard on the LTD EDT 129, you need to have a 9 - 10 inch wide rim to put them on.......

Thanks guys, I appreciate your advice.

I do have a spare set of wheels to put on it but have decided that they are too scruffy. Looks like it's going to be a set of 17" x 9" & 10" staggered rims or a set of 18" with tyres that I need to buy then. At least I will recoup some of the cash from the 2 sets I have.

Ebay here we come unless anybody out there has any going cheap.

The wheels you put up in the pic earlier, were one of 4 options offered as of 07-98

Sounds like an offer I can't refuse. It may well give me some other ideas, after all it's worth holding onto isn't it?

How can I get the money to you?

Malcolm,

Could you make a space in your box - so to speak. ;)

It says you're full.

Thanks Malcolm,

Received the book this morning in great condition. After all the ums and errs, it looks as though I have a deal on some lovely AMGs for the car with some huuuuge tyres for the rear.

They are: -
8.5J x 18 ET30 with 255/40/18
9.5J x 18 ET33 with 285/35/18

Any views on the fit before I get them?

These will be the same wheel size that I have on the 230 I believe that the last few 129s had that size of wheel.

Are that the AMG 4 spoke

Should have said 5 spoke, wonder why that guy selling does not answer the off set, its moulded into the spokes ?

I have a set of those wheels that were an extra on my car, they are nicer to drive on than the size that you have now, well on my car anyway, as I also have a set of those.

Looks like I made a wise choice then, especially as I have a silver car. They should set it off really well and as Malcolm said, also drive nicer. :D
