What C Class

Any view points / comments appreciated. My son is thinking of buying a C Class, most likely a C180 given his age and low mileage. He could just stretch to a W205, which is his preference, or could get a late W204. Any things to watch out for with the W205 in terms of common issues? Which way would other members go, W204 or W205? I think the W205 is a much more polished interior, but never had one to know about reliability.

Had my W205 nearly two years now and absolutely no issues at all. It’s a 2Ltr Petrol and returns me around 40mpg on a run which is about a 10% improvement over my previous W204 C180.

Although the W204 was a nice feeling car to drive the tech in the W205 is way, way better. The W205 interior is a far nicer place to be and has a quality feel to it.

Driving the W205 doesn’t quite have the solid feel of the W204 though but it still feels good.

Out of the two which do I prefer ? The W205, It is a much nicer car all round both outwardly and interior wise. If he can stretch to a 205 then that’s the one to go for without any doubt
