Wheels off, wire brush calipers, brake cleaner, kurust... then caliper paint. I just couldn’t pretend they were ok anymore

I agonised over paint colour... red is such a natural choice... but I’m 47 so I thought I’d keep it classy.. it’s etech grey

Swapped out nose cone as well... not sure about this yet. I’ll make final judgement on a sunny summer day.. old nose cone held in retention!

Was getting intermittent 'license lamp' message so took the number plate light covers off, cleaned the bulbs and sprayed some contact cleaner onto the holders.

It’s a CLK 200 kompressor , had it 9 years now , been all over France for the past few years . Little unnecessary shot of the old girl on the Stelvio pass .

I think the r230 and w209 are pretty much the pinnacle aesthetically.... they got the lines and lights just right.... since then they’ve just been trying to recapture that moment (with varying degrees of success)
