My sister in law who lives alone in London managed to fall down the stairs on Friday & fractured both wrists. She had surgery today to try & straighten the three fractures on one side.
The upshot was I had to tax my E350CDI which I don’t use in the winter months, to get us both down to London to collect her from hospital in the morning. She will have to stay with us for a while.
The car started instantly & it was very enjoyable driving in the sun down to London, apart from the slow traffic bottom of the M1 & M25. Still managed 49 mpg.

Hope she makes a full recovery sonic.
My mother in law fell down our stairs and broke her wrist. It was never the same again her left wrist. Though she never had surgery. Just plastered.

[W164] - New Brake servo fitted under recall - Brake action seems a little more “assisted” than before, so a definite improvement
My R is booked in 27th. May get an A service at the same time.

They tried up selling me for new wiper blades (new 3 months ago!) and investigating a weeping engine rear main seal.

Didn’t work, I didn’t fancy paying £199 to be told it would be a £1500 job to replace the seal.

I've already knocked them back on a few things. They tried for brakes (before even seeing it!) and got very little enthusiasm. Likewise tried for brake fluid to be told it would be done before they saw it (since I have a nice shiny pressure bleeder I bought to do the 230).

Had my wheels powder coated ("New Chrome"). I've put grease on the new metal valve caps and wax sealed the wheels with Poorboys wheel sealant.

Highly recommend McNeally Brown in Sittingbourne. Dropped car off at 7am and collected it at 4pm same day. Fabulous finish.

Took 230 for a run to Coventry to Costco for fuel.
Forgot how pleasant it is to drive top down at night.

Even with the 40 mile round trip it cost less to go to Coventry than to fill locally.
