I Fancied a CLK, bought an SL350
My car went into limp mode last week, so got it down to the specialist.

The culprit was an exhaust pressure sensor, so while it was down the other jobs were also sorted.

Track control arms and drop links
front wheel bearing adjustment
rear tyres Uniroyal RS5's.

I have a leaky rear shock, so I know I need to replace both of those, and the warning for ABS and TC came on before, so this might require the rear wheel speed sensors.

With the front end sorted out the car feels so much better.

Over the last year not including servicing, I have spent nearly £2k, and now with ULEZ this is becoming more and more of an issue with ownership. Back in June I had complete new front brakes and a gearbox sump replaced + the work in 2022.

But it does still drive great!!
If mine were non ulez complient I'd have to let her go Just wondering how the wheel bearing is "adjustable" do you have a unique set up?

No idea, but they are no longer making a weird noise. have to mention, I knew there was an issue somewhere and thought it was a bearing and didn't mention this as I had forgotten.

There's a nut that turns to take up any slack. But you really need it doing properly by those in the know.

and that is why most things in live I leave to those that "know"
I tightened mine once on a 08 CLS , they lasted 100 miles , very small margin for error with floating bearings.

No spare was optioned on this model, or foam. The AA is your/my only option. Which I have had to use before now.

I replaced the heater control valve on my RHD s211.

The most awkward frustrating job. 5 hours of my life I never want to re-live.

But, heater works just in time for Autumn

Awful job, like fighting an octopus into an origami box that you have to fold at the same time blindfold with chopsticks.

Yup looking at location of mine I will need the manual dexterity of a surgeon with fingers of a orangutan, and the patience of jobe, probably on par with changing a starter motor on my friends Renault 1.4 auto ,whom the French engineering department thought it was a good idea to put above the gearbox so can't see bolts to undo or do up !!!!
