Booked in at 12 at a local indie (http://www.csautomotive.co.uk/) for Star diag £42+vat. Never used them before though. Last time I took the car there for failed A/C pump they quoted me £500+ but I ended up taking the car to an A/C specialist at Staples corner for £350.

Star diag complete, apparently lack of power to the TCM/TCU/ECU put it in permanent limp home. It does have original battery (15years old) which was still healthy but may be going, but also there were previous codes for glow plugs so perhaps the draw on that caused the issue?

Star diag complete, apparently lack of power to the TCM/TCU/ECU put it in permanent limp home. It does have original battery (15years old) which was still healthy but may be going, but also there were previous codes for glow plugs so perhaps the draw on that caused the issue?

Codes pointed at under voltage/power. Code reset yes, but didn’t fix the issue sadly, so still could be anything. Could be glow plugs causing too much draw, old battery that needs replacing to provide more power,or TCU/ECU issues caused by fluid ingress :/

Saga continues. After driving to the supermarket, tranny still in limp mode, grabbed some lunch steak to pound into submission, head back into the car and voila gears changing normally. Hmmmm....

Heading in to the gym yesterday eve, sat in 3 lanes of traffic at lights, heard a couple of light taps of a horn and didn't think much of it... Happened twice more, looked around and driver of Transit to the right and back a bit was giving me the thumbs-up and mouthing nice car! Bless him.

His passenger wound his window down, so had to oblige with a cheeky blip of the burbleometer!

Took it to a bodyshop to get an estimate for this after someone side swiped me at a junction also damaged the wing mirror

Hit and run, chased him 4 miles until he pulled over then both him and his wife denied any knowledge of an accident even thought there was a large scrape down his passenger side (Honda CRV). Pulled up next to them at a set of lights and could see his wife gesturing to him to keep going!!!!!

Spoke to the insurance this morning and told them what happened, about £250 of damage, £350 excess so if insurance decide no fault them I pay!!!! Told them to investigate and sort it, he has been reported to the Police for failing to stop.

Have to wait and see what happens

Mother f****r. That’s almost identical to the damage to my 212... luckily it buffed out.
