Just had a horribe thought with Money Pit's hub......I think part of the old abs ring is still inside the hub, I thought it strange that the ring was only rubbery that came out Hmm, looks like I may have messed up

Not sure you can avoid that anymore, insurance has gone up so much!!!

Insurance group is pointless. Get a quote every time. I've had quotes for group 50+ that are lower than for a lower group car.
My neighbours lad has halved his insurance by replacing his Astra with a newer, more powerful and more expensive Golf - go figure!

Car finally washed after 11 months…

Went to MB Dealers to collect the wing mirror. Replaced in a matter of mins. Turned car on and it works a treat. Got nice and warm.

Just need to sort out the flipping parking sensors now.

Briefly, I was a member of the multiple MB club, but now no longer. I guess I'll now have to shift the winter wheels and tyres.

Removed the hub on Money Pit only to discover there was no old abs ring present.

Refitted it and still the hub nut will not pull the axle tight. Only needs 5mm. Going to put some serious tools on it now to get it tightened.

You had difficulty removing it, could it need application of plumbers freeze spray over the axle end to shrink it slightly?

Had a nice low speed slide on black ice in Vicarage Road Egham negotiating the mini roundabout by the old police station.

Can we have a single thread or a sticky ,pointing out where all the black ice patches are located. ?

Found that a gimmick may have some uses.
Having visited my local MB dealer earlier in the week to ensure that the Mercedes Me facility on my new car was registered to me and not the previous owner. I had a browse through the data displayed about my car using my new Mercedes Me account to see that it reconned that the rear passenger window was open.
Went out to check and sure enough it was down by 1/4", luckily we've had no rain only frosty weather with a few snow flakes the past few days.

I think on some models the windows close themselves when parked if it starts to rain, I know it applies to sunroofs but think windows also..
