My E220Cdi Avantegarde saloon tells me that a C service is due in 28 days time. What is a C service? Is it an expensive service?

Where in the north of England are you, I know of a very good independant MB specialist in StocktonMy E220Cdi Avantegarde saloon tells me that a C service is due in 28 days time. What is a C service? Is it an expensive service?

Thank you for replying but I am no wiser. I still do not know what a Mercedes C service is.
The car says it needs a C service. My neighbour has had a look and he says it needs a C service. But the site that tells which service a car needs says it needs a B service.
If there are only A and B services, what is a C service?
My annual mileage will be less than 10,000 so should I ask the technician to reset it to miles or time? Or would there be a monetary advantage if I travelled another few miles more than 10,000.
I have read the servicing threads and one writer says that an A service is followed by a B service. I believe he was saying that the B service is followed by an A service. So there are two Mercedes services.
If there are only A and B services, what is a C service?
I serviced that car every 6000 - 7000 miles and it was money well spent. This E220 is going to be more expensive to service so I have another question. My annual mileage will be less than 10,000 so should I ask the technician to reset it to miles or time? Or would there be a monetary advantage if I travelled another few miles more than 10,000.
Teabag - I am 18 miles from Stockton and think I know which independent place you mean. At Preston?
