What is it with you owners of the SL320?

Is the SL320 the best S class out there?

What about the SL280 or the S 500's

Local Taxi driver with over 1/2 million miles on his S500 taxi simply swears that this was the best S class all-rounder ever made!


Is he wrong?

Or just biased / biast / biassed / byast ... forgotten how to spell biased, must be getting old!

Now you really have me confused Keith

The SL320 is not an S-Class.
The SL320 is one of the R129 roadster class.

The S500 is an S-Class.
The S500 is one of the W140 or W220 saloons.
The W140 & W215 coupes (formally S500, later CL500) are usually refered to as 'S-Class Coupe', but of late being refered to as 'CL-Class'

Regarding the S500 as a taxi, maybe a bit of overkill, and un-economical.
For an all round large taxi the S320cdi or S400cdi (unavailable in UK) seems more viable
