the 1994 panda has only done 63000 miles, which is very high compared with the age of the 1972 mercedes.

Belgian taxi 1,000,100 km

I rode in a taxi in Belgium which had just gone over 1 million km. It was about 12 years old still on original engine (E300D) and was in use 24/7 except for servicing and repair.

My E300 only has 170,000 miles so far so just about run in.

i have an "n" reg escort 1.8 (non turbo) diesel van 161000 miles .....does not use any oil between the 6000 miles oil changes i do on it.........and only replaced bits on it are clutch..1x engine mount.....alternator....exhaust ...tyres...batteries ........brake pads and shoes.....bit slow but ok once your moving

I bought my 1989 300D with 171,000 miles and sold it 5 years later with 322,000 acouple of years ago, i believe it's still running on original running gear.

It would appear that mine is not even out of short trousers yet, as it has only 125k on it.
Before i bought mine, I was told by many people not to be worried about high milege mercs as they could handle it - nice to see they were (sometimes) right!!!
