What is this warning light?

Hi there.
My girlfriend's 1995 C200 Elegance has got a warning light on all the time.
It is at the top right hand corner of the SRS warning light and looks like a bulb with rays coming out of it.
Can someone tell me what it is, as we can't locate the handbook?

It is warning you that you have an outside bulb fault, replace bulb,you also need to check brake bulb and reversing bulbs while someone has foot on brake.

A common problem.

You may have a wrong (5W instead of 10W) tail lamp bulb or some crumby contact on any lamp or its wires if all the lamps seem to be working. If the lamp only illuminates after the brakes are applied it will latch on untill the key is turned off. If its a side/head or fog lamp the indicator should extinguish when the lamp is turned off.

I had several 21W (B&Qs best) lamps that worked but would trigger the fail lamp if they were installed on the car. Buy decent bulbs and your troubles will go away.

And that usually happens immediately upon start-up. With both of mine, I have to put my foot on the brake, before the ignition will even turn.

Same thing applies with the indicators.

Also remember the number plate lights.
