I thought this would be an interesting topic for members, mileage related failures have always interested me and so many posts for help seldom mention the mileage the vehicle has done. It might be tempting fate but her goes:-

My MB: 2012 E Class 350cdi 265bhp sport estate
Mileage: 76000
Failures: 1 x engine thermostat at 60000 miles
1 x Varta battery replacement at 70000 miles
Other than that the car has been serviced when required and runs well

Items that might require attention <100k miles
Oil cooler seals and inlet port shut-off motor

New rear shocks at 30k miles due to internal deformity. Changed under warranty.

I have a couple of tech faults also waiting to seen to:
- Drivers window immediately reopens once it reaches the top. Tried resetting without success.
- Apple car play disconnects after around 30 mins and the system freezes

2009 W211 E-Class E280 Sport Estate (OM642 3-litre diesel V6), 3x remapped, now returned to stock
2009 E 280CDI Sport.

I picked up the car 4 months ago @ 93,000 miles. It had a bulging folder of main dealer service history and masses of work had been done on it. Fingers crossed that those things are all taken care of now.

Since then, nothing has been needed but I've opted to have the following things done:

* Gearbox service @ £386
* Replacement steering column @ £375 (not strictly necessary but it had an annoying knock)
* New tie-rod end + realignment @ c. £200 (not strictly necessary now but would need doing soon
* New front discs and pads @ c. £400 (not strictly necessary now but would need doing soon as the rotors were pitted)
* 'A' Service @ £235 (needed to validate an extended warranty I've taken out)

All done at a Merc indie. Looks pricey but the car's worth it...

2014 E63 Biturbo remapped in Nov 2019 to 666bhp and now on 34k miles.

Bought in Sept 2019 on 28k miles, nothing has needed doing outside of normal servicing apart from me replacing consumables like pads and tyres.
It has been an outstandingly reliable and fun car.

ML350
14 plate ML350 around 68000 miles, bought from MB about 2 & half years ago. It went back to them shortly after due to an oil leak which turned out to be from the sump plug ...assume someone at the dealer fcuked up with their service. Other than a service at an Indie & new tyres all round (Ouch!) and front pads it's had nothing done to it.

2005 CLK 500 Cab bought in 2014. 130k miles - 31k in my ownership. Only unexpected cost was a new Crank Position Sensor. That said I live with the common heater flap breakage noise (lasts for circa 20 seconds on startup) as the HVAC still largely works as wanted.

2019 S63 Coupe. Bought new in October 2019.
Mileage 4,265. :( This is due to a combination of being restricted on travel and an ongoing illness.
Nothing done to it apart from 2 x routine services (A + B), though with the mileage I'd not expect much else. A lot spent on cleaning materials mind. :D
It's currently in my garage on the lift being thoroughly cleaned and polished, though only when it's warm enough for me to venture out.

Roll on next year when we hopefully get a bit of normality back...

Good idea, it’s certainly something I would do if running the 231bhp engine

E500 Sport Coupe
2010 E500 Sport Coupe,82k miles,I bought in in Feb 2012 when it was 14 months old with 20k on the clock.
I had it on an MB service plan for my first 8 years of ownership & since then Wayne Gates has looked after it.
Had a holed aircon heat exchanger a few years ago & after getting an MB quote I got WG to do it.
Also done by WG new front discs & pads, new front shockers....they were pricey!
Also had a new battery quite recently,I thought the original lasted rather well.

We just drove back from an old RAF mates final send off in Durham & I still love driving it as much as I did on day one.

Edit: Forgot I got sideswiped on the M6 in 2019 but the guy admitted it & my neighbour's bodyshop ensured the bodywork was like new.
