What Oil?

Hi,

On last service at PCS in Horndean, they noticed the dreaded leaking oil cooler seal. So it's going in next week for a few hours of surgery. However, it's dropping quite a bit of oil now (just drips but it looks worse). Just in case I need to top it up, does anyone know what oil they would have used? I can call them on Monday, but am keen to keep it well topped up until it goes in for the work.

Any 229.51 spec oil 5w30 will do
I thought a 2013 car had the new purple seals already

Thanks Wighty - if I have got the purple seals fitted as standard, it would seem they are as crap as the original orange ones . The car has done less than 65k

That’s a bit of a shocker , unless it’s the cooler itself , either way , good luck
