Wow. How things change, wots the I ring tube foe and why is there a hole, tube in the front? I had that as some kind of pipe junction box.

It has a rubber extension tube that comes out the bottom, goes onto the spark plug. An HT lead goes onto the other outlet for wasted spark onto another cylinder, for example number 4 if this one is fitted to cylinder 1 on a 4 banger. The rubber O ring is a seal where the low tension loom plug fits on. They are an unusual electrical connector

Interesting, sounds a little over complex when I think for eg! m/bike coil. Earth, ussual a securing bolt. ht and live.
