Just had the tracking done on my W210 E320CDI. They identified 1 rear broken spring and the front suspension was too low- meaning that they couldn't adjust the camber inside tollerance (hence warn inside front tyres). They think that the car is sitting about 1 - 2 inches low at the front indicating worn springs (I think that this is symtomatic of broken front springs)

I think that it is time to replace all 4 springs - quoted £90 per corner fitted with mercedes original springs. Should I stick with Avantgarde springs or go with a set of elegance springs.

I like the handling on mine, however the ride is a bit "crashy"... I think that this may be due to the state of the current springs.

Does anyone have any advice? are the Avantgarde shock absorbers, wheels and tyres compatible with Elegance spings?

check the front spring "perches" (upper mounts) they rust and break. this will cause the car to be low at the front. elegance springs should be softer and longer than avantgarde.

prob the shocks are not shown as the same part between elegance and avant due to ride height difference.

i'm interested to see if a crossover is possible as i have avant 220 which is too hard for me and would like to convert to elegance spec
