what towbar is needed for ml with amg kit ?

Hi i have just bought a 51 plate ml 270 with a amg kit,now i need to get a towbar for it but when i have looked most say excluding amg and the ones with a spare wheel on the rear,mine hasn't got the spare on the back but was wondering if the reason for not fitting amg models was because the rear bumper is deeper,

On the ML the towbar (assuming detachable) come out of the bumber about half way up. That being the case I doubt it matters you have the AMG kit and am sure I have seen towbars fitted to ML55's so their should not be a problem.

I had the Westfaier towbar fitted, completely hidden and detachable with the twin electics that drop down.

Towbar including mobile fitting, twin electrics and bypass relay was £300.


I don't think on this model having the AMG kit doesn't stop you fitting a towbar.
