What tyres?

My 124 had always had 205/65/15 tyres. Not long before I sorned it for a couple of years I put some cheap ditchfinders on, but its off SORN now and im using it regularly so I want to put some decent tyres back on without spending too much. Im thinking of going stock, which I believe is 195/65/15 as there is a bigger selection at this size, and an appreciable price difference. Has anyone used Avon ZV7s? They are A rated wet , and E rated economy. im not bothered about the economy rating as Im not doing that many miles in it.

Not tried ZV7s but used to use ZZs on my A8 many years ago and always found them to be very good.

I've had zv5 before . Very quiet and grippy but soft, so mileage will be compromised to a high mileage owner.

On second set of Goodyear Efficient grip on my CLK. quiet and good in the wet.

Not used the ZV series, but had a set of their winter tyres on my CLS for two winters - very impressed. Quiet, comfortable, gripped & braked well (especially in the wet); ended up up running them in to the Spring with no obvious drops in performance.

Would very much consider ZV7 for current car when OE Pirellis are due to expire!
