I would like to try and get TV in my car without the tuner,would this gaget do that for me or what are these for?

Comand 2 needs an interface for video signals if you do not already have a tuner, thats what that unit is for, it is not a TV tuner

That device is for a Comand 2.5, if you have a D2B based S class with Comand then it will simply fool the comand into thinking there is a TV tuner fitted. You will need to add a Tv tuner and/or DVd palyer if you want TV and/or DVD.

Similar devices exist for Comand 2 and Comand APS.

Sorry no, the TV tuner is a separate thing, I have just installed a digi tuner in my SL 500 it cost me £18, but the antenna is the hardest bit if you do not already have a tuner.

In Sweden and Holland it picked up over 50 channels and very good reception

Your car has Comand 2.5 I think, and the antenna is built in but the hardest bit is the antenna amp that would have to be changed and you would need the interface, then it would work
