What was your best Mercedes and Why?

My best was a 300SE.  I did over 300,000 miles in her and she never failed to start.  When I sold her a couple of years ago, she was still in great condition.  I now have a S320 and a S400.  The S320L is great for comfort but is full of problems and feel loose.  I think due to the previous owner.  The S400 is a dream at 12 years old and still feel like Mercedes should.  Quality.

I loved my 420 SEC - it was a 1988 model which i got in 1994 and kept until it was written off in 2000 whilst parked on the street.  

I did over 70000 miles in it, all over Europe, touring, used it as my wedding car - it was brilliant.  

In terms of sheer reliability though, i had a 190E which was the most faultless car i've ever had - owned it for 2 years, never spent anything other than oil and filter changes and sold it for more than i paid!
