Greetings All,

I am brand new to this forum and it leaves the impression of the right place to ask - I got a very rotten (fist-sized holes) Merc 280CE 1973, hardtop covered with plastic, sunroof. It has however a very good engine and gearbox and all electrics seem to work. I am hoping to restore the body to a very good standard (at a good cost of about £3000). The "chrome-work" is all fine. I will renew the seats, possibly doing them in leather as opposed to the present cloth. Altogether, I am likely to spend about £4000 on it
I wonder, is it going to be worth that much, please?
I mean, I don't mind if it isn't, I will still do the works, 'cause I like the model...

Wonder if someone can give an advice, also, what is the best colour for this model, please?
