Last week a warning light on my 2015 c220 was traced down to a faulty NOx sensor, which was fixed by an Indy Garage. Today I got a call from my local MD dealer to say my car needed a software update regarding NOx emissions. The indy garage told me last week they thought MB might be using software updates to erase evidence related to group actions like this one. Plausible?

No,
The update it to bring the cars emissions inline with the revised requirements. Nothing to do with class actions or cover ups.

No +1
But there are a lot of reports on here with problems being experienced with NOx sensors after the update so it is probably a good idea you’ve had yours replaced beforehand!

Have a search of the forum, quite a few posts and threads on the software updates and faulty NOX sensors...
