i have just tried to obtain a value for my car from auto trader etc. i got a shock, but i realise that you could pay £2,000 for a ten yr old merc, and then spent another £2,000 getting it up to standard. you have to see the owner and look at what has been done, the owner's service history is the best in my opinion, the full mb service history is not always the thing to lean on, all be it better than no history, also the extras on mercs are very expensive, so this must be taken into account. my car had £12,000 of extras on top of the basic elegance spec, so this must reflect in the second hand asking price. herbiemercman.
I recently sold my C200 T Reg Petrol Saloon with 90K on the clock. In nice condition for 2.5K and I thought the buyer was getting a bargain as it had never let me down and still drove really well. Only sold it as I moved up to a newer Merc.
