Hi there,

Anyone any idea what my 1994 C200 Elegance Auto would be worth? It is white, with leather, has done 150k and is in absolutely perfect order, both in terms of bodywork and engine. It even has the original, unused first aid kit on the back shelf. Has a Radio/CD player and I have fitted brand new 16" alloys and tyres about three months ago. It also has an electric sunroof and original electric aerial (both working perfectly)
Have tried to value it in Autotrader etc, but their web valuation tool does not go back to that particular year.
Reason why I would like to know is that I would like to change to an E Class, either with the same 2 litre engine or diesel. Anyone any advice on what to change to, or should I stick with what I have got.
PS - My car does not have any visible service history, although I know it was serviced by a MB dealer regularly. Service book and manual etc did not come with the car, but I did a little bit of detective work!

You've got to be joking!!!! I paid £1600 in June this year for it. As I said, I can get a print out of service history and get it added to the new owner's manual and service I have coming from MB.

£800? ..................."how very dare you" :(

Just depends on your luck, if you can find the right buyer who really wants the car then £1600 is possible, but to be brutally honest £800 is nearer the mark. White is a difficult colour to shift, and air con is expected in a Mercedes.

Good luck.

We looked at selling our 1995 C220 elegance with 90k on the clock and history. We were offered £1600 so whilst I think £800 is a bit shy, £1600 is a bit optomistic. I'd go for £1400 and expect £1200 - assuming its running well.

Thanks for that jberks - sounds more realistic. Incidentally, to the others who have contributedI started this discussion to find out what my car is worth. Just to clarify, I bought it for £1600 - in no way do I assume I , would get the same price selling it again.

Thanks for your valuation and opinion.

It is ultimately worth what someone!? is willing to pay for it!

I would have a look at parkers.co.uk, but as it's pre-96 you will have to pay for the valuation.
