What's the risk of hydrolocking doing this engine clean?

Want to try this on my W639 Vito 3.0 v6 om642
Guess I spray it into the air pipe that screws to the left of the airbox
Is the turbo going to suck the spray and air into the engine?
I guess do it slowly in small doses

I have used a wallpaper steamer on a w210 e300td om606 and a w124 e300 om603, both of these I ran on vegetable oil . The steaming works and cleans the engines insides up very well... it works period.
Now I would like to see a finer mist going into the engine rather than the stream in the video, takes a bit more time to do it but its safer.
Now the engine was revving over 2k , is the egr valve even open at these revs ???.
I personally would remove the egr valve and clean it manually then refit and see how things are.
If you are going to do it then run a fine mist but do it past the turbo / take intercooler pipe off throttle body and put it in through throttle body.
I personally think that dpf cleaner used in video cleaned dpf and cat out and possibly egr fault was down to bad airflow ... my thinking is egr needs to be worked by alternating revs to open and close it.
When I used the wallpaper steamers on my veg burners they were fed the steam but took in what they wanted ie the om603 had the air filter element out and the steam pipe held near the inlet of each cylinder and that cylinder sucked in what it could. The om606 had intercooler pipe detached from inlet manifold and pipe placed couple of inches below, steam sucked in but any large drops were not.. both engines could just be running at around 1100 rpm doing this.
Other thing is there is a lot of crap and junk in om642 egr / inlet system.
But do this as a very fine mist and take longer and there will be no risk of hydro locking, and a very fine mist will not hurt turbo.

It's also not hydrolocking. It's hydraulic locking. Hydrolocking is a bastardisation.

What is the best way to create a fine mist as a diy at home? wallpaper steamer ?

How do you do that on a om642? All I can see is the air pipe that goes onto the turbo, so I was thinking about spraying it further up just after the MAF

Its not hydraulic locking you need to worry about. Its the loose carbon running through the valves, cylinder bores and your exhaust that is the concern.

I have had 3 cases of the terraclean type action performed followed by engine rattles caused by valves jamming open and causing serious damage. I would never recommend it.

The quick fixes (bodges) rarely work without some nasty side effect.
