Hi all! I have just bought a 1987 190E, 2.6 in nice shape. I bought it as a wreck written off by the insurance company. The body work is now done. (very little damage - hit from behind) To get it on the road it needs a 4-wheel alignement. I took it in (not a Mercedes garage) and some time later the mechanic called to tell me that he can't do it because one of the suspension bushings is frozen and he can't loosen it. In the front, the lower A-frames (or wishbones?) have two bushings. On the drivers side the front one is seized. The nut comes off but I can't move the bolt which goes through the rubber bushing. Now, the more I look at it the more it seems that it is the rear one which must move to do an alignement. Am I right? I have ordered a Haynes manual but haven't got it yet...
Sorry for the longwinded post, but it sure would help if someone out there knows!
