This can't be right can it? One bolt is missing on the left hand drive drivers side rear wheel and has a black small bolt way down inside?

No, not right. Can you get it out? If yes...replace it.

Take the wheel off and the broken bit should be easy enough to remove.

Definitely not right - could it be a bolt for a steel rim or a standard bolt with a missing chrome cap

Just make sure you buy the right type, most MB alloys need a radiused bolt rather than taper, but take out one of thee others (another wheel) to confirm.

There’s a good chance there’ll be some spare wheel bolts in a small black plastic box in the boot… the box with the locking wheel bolt key in…

Certainly not right. Make sure you get the right one (about 3 pound at a dealers) armed with VIN
Steel and alloy wheels often need different bolts so dont pot luck it with whats rolling in the boot unless confirmed by removing a known correct bolt.

I got the bolt out no problem, it was holding the wheel on but too short for these wheels. It looks like a Mercedes bolt for another application.

I have ordered the correct type I think, Febi Bilstein.

No spare bolts in the boot, got the tool set though in its bag, it was minus the tool for manually doing the roof though, otherwise it is all there. Some nice blue metal wheel chocks with the spare.

Out of curiosity take out one of the others and compare.

Best thing to do with MB locking wheel bolts is remove them and chuck them in the bin.

Yeah I will.

Don't know if they are Mercedes. Why bin em? I don't want them half inched.

Are you sure? That's around 300hp?
