Hi All, Ive just traded my C270cdi for a 2009 (09 plate) E220cdi from a Mercedes dealer. At hand over I noticed that there were no short wheel bolts supplied for the steel spare, not a fold up tyre type but narrow. I was assured that this was correct and that the alloy wheel bolts now suit the thinner steel wheel. Anybody had any doings with late e211s to confirm if this is correct or not ?

Regards Peter

The safe way is just remove one from one of your wheels and pop it in the hole and ther should be about 15-18 mm sticking out of the rear of the wheel

Hi All, John, surprisingly the Book, the one that came with the car, the DVD that came with the car or an american download of the E class book makes no mention of short bolts. Did MB change this late in 211 life ?. Malcolm, yes I.ll check bolt length against the steel wheel but it would be good to get the info straight from MB.
