Just finished my 5L Wonder wheels acid wheel cleaner , It always did a good job and I only used it when I removed the summer/winter wheels before cleaning them .
I’m looking for a non acid cleaner next that’s good value .
Any recommendations

I usually use Mr. Muscle Bathroom. It's heftily priced at £1.00 from the 'Pound Shop'. Don't know whether it is acidic or not though but I guess a 'Google' will tell you :)

Mamma mia here I (we) go again la, la............100s or products 100s of users 1000s of opinions.

As, they say "opinions are like a$$holes, everybody has one!!":)

We've started with "good and cheap".

Here's mine.....I'll go with it's "quality because it is expensive".....I've used several brands & most recently Carpro & Autofinesse products. I cannot perceive any real difference in the "quality products". I buy 5L at a time as it is a lot cheaper and have one of the sprayers that you can pressurise with a pump which is a lot easier to use.

Don’t go all negative on me buddy :D , it’s lockdown rules , all opinions welcome ! I Like the 5L size for cost effectiveness , that’s how I roll as well .

Car shampoo and water with a sponge every week or so and stand back six feet and squint and they always look like new to me;):)
Yep , that’s what I do weekly , but when I remove the wheels every 6 months I need a bit more ooomph to cut through the built up inside stuff

I've used stuff in a spray bottle I bought in Lidl for that, works well enough for me but I'm not a wheel fanatic (nut:(). In the old days used petrol to get the tar off probably not allowed now:eek:

I don’t wait as long as six months, usually 4 to 6 weeks, when I was using the car as my daily before I take the wheels off and give them the full monty. Since the car’s become a weekend toy though it’s getting on for 3 or 4 months since it’s been necessary to whip them off for that.

It is the one thing on a car I don't like cleaning
I know what you mean , mine get a proper clean and wax when I change from winters to summers , otherwise it’s a big 4ft brush with the remainder of the shampoo in the bucket . I do though occasionally use tyre shine now

Funny how clean wheels make the rest of the car appear more presentable .

When I got it I was constantly washing the wheels , you could feel how abrasive the dust was whilst washing .

I had no idea what make OE pads were on there but once discovered they won't be recommended .

4 days low mileage .

So the pads were changed for my normal default low dust ceramic pad that I've got full sets fitted to 3 cars .

This is 5 weeks.

What a difference , the mega dust were Pagid , 9mm left too .
Ceramic pad dust is easily washed away too .

I've not bought ordinary pads now for 20 years .

Hopefully dusty OE will soon be a thing of the past as future legislation will ban them as the war on particulates continues , copper dust is not good for the environment .

No need to put up with dust as lots of ceramic on the market now .
