I've just driven down to London and noticed on the way that when I go above 70mph, the wheels seem as though they need balancing. I've just had new tyres and balancing done. As I increase speed (as if I would) it gets slightly worse progressively.

Do they need balancing again??????????????

As the wheels have been off recently, check the wheel nuts are tight first. If they are OK, take it back to the shop that did the balancing. 70mph suggests it is the rears to me, but I could be wrong...

Thanks Uncle Benz. It does seem as though it is coming up into my back through the seat as well as through the steering. Do they balance wheels on the car anywhere?

....front wheel wobble comes up through the steering linkages and up to the steering wheel, an imbalance of the rear wheels usually makes the car shudder and as you say you can feel the vibration through the seats.

Sometimes a balance weight can be lost if it hasn't been stuck or fastened on properly, like everyone says I'd get them rechecked. :)

I'll take it in when I get home on Saturday. Thanks for the advice chaps.

Malcolm, I would suggest that you just took them to the wrong place. ;) Should have been the cleaners and a good Financial advisor could have helped you do that.
