Anyone else have trouble removing the wheel nuts, had 3' bar on them and nothing, didn't want to go to hard and snap them, any advice.
Also do you know what length replace bolts I need, I think there is a choice 40 mm or 28 mm. The wheels on the car are black 18" AMG.

They have probably been put on with a rattle gun. Have you an impact.

Pretty much every time. I usually have to stand (or jump) on a breaker bar to break them loose! If I ever need to use the tiny bar in the toolkit at the side of the road, I'll probably have to call roadside assistance.

And they haven't been hit with an impact - I make sure to torque them to factory spec. But it certainly takes more than 130Nm to loosen them after a few months.

As above, the short bolts are for the spacesaver (and perhaps some aftermarket alloys, depending on the design). Specifically when you put them on the rear. The long bolts could interfere with the parking brake mechanism and destroy it as soon as you start moving.

I forbid tyre places from using rattle guns on my ML. It has the flower shaped bolt heads with the stainless cap ..... rattle guns just loosen the cap such that they fall off, I have a bag of them to prove it!
