Hi All,

I recently had a puncture on my E220 coupe (driver side rear) i put the spare wheel on jus to get me around but as soon as i drove off i heard a clicking coming from the rear so i stopped and parked up (anyone know what this clicking can be) well instead of buying new tyres i bought some new alloys to put on the car some 5 spoke AMG 17" with black faces (look the bizzness) but i`m still getting that clciking noise but from both sides could it be that my bolts are too lang and they are going through the hub and hitting something behind??? this is the only explanation i can come up with, any help will be much appreciated, I have a trip to wolverhamton 2mrw howver until i get this sorted i don`t think i`ll be going.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Sorry for being a muppet and not doing a search before posting, i`ve just read taht it could well be a bolt which is too long and is hitting my handbrake spring in the hub. Sorry for the inconvience

That's an easy mistake to make, most after market bolts are just 2-3 mm too long, amin thing is that you know what it is.

Yup yup, all fixed with my handy grinder, well my dad did it really, he just took out the bolts and checked which ones had scratches on em from hitting the spring, he then grinded them down and i replaced them, this seems to have fixed the problem.

quick question how do i post pictures up, i wanna show everyone my new alloys :D
