It depends on the type of wheel and if diamond turned, I paid £225 for diamond wheels, that included balancing and carrage, a friends MX two tone cost £200.

They always answer the phone, but they are hpeless with E mail.

The wheels are 17" and are diamond cut. Have you got their number handy? I am in Scotland which might affect things regarding delivery but I can but ask. regards AA

Hi Malcolm, was it steel wheels you had done? I spoke to someone today at Pristine who told me first they only had 2 agents in Scotland, both who were at least 150 miles away from me. He also told me that 17" diamond cut wheels would cost around £93.00 each plus VAT!
I then had an email which said they had an agent about 12 miles from me and I should contact them. I called them and was told that diamond cut wheels started at £88.00 plus VAT each plus the charge for exchange, ( I did not bother asking how much that was). I am fussy as well but at these prices I don't think fussy need come into it. anyway thanks for your help AA.

Hi,
I live near Milton Keynes & took my C180 to Pristine for a quote last Thursday.

Looks like their prices have gone up since '05. My alloys are plain, no polished bits, and they quoted £270 all in - that's with me taking the wheels in to them.

As mine are pretty good with just slight kerbing on the fronts and very little corrosion, their price feels on the high side.

You might also try:
www.wickedwheels.co.uk

They doa mobile service but only use hand tools to repair any damage, kerbing etc, still want to charge me £55 per wheel.

It's not cheap compared to new aftermarket wheels.

How bad is bad?

I mean, how bad must say our alloys be kerbed for them to start developing corrosion?

I had my wheels diamond cut and total refurb (£250.00), looked good for about six months, now they have corroded the same as before the refurb - so not impressed. Are there aftermarket wheels that will fit and look similar to original as it could be cheaper to buy a new set of wheels rather than another refurb - anyone taken this route and where did you purchase them?

go to the gallery to view the different finnishes. the chrome paints are nice and almost the same as diamond turned, but without the pain of it going wrong in 6 months. Diamond cut wheels can only be re done once, then the metal is too thin. Clear laquar has no strenth without pigment,it never did,you cant just put more on as it will craze.

If I have any more done it will be one of the chrome paints as above.

My volvo wheel is 9 years old and still perfect, finnished in a chrome paint. no sun today, and it has not been cleanrd for the picture.

Walking around halfords today I looked at some wheels, the new bright finish paints are just as nice as the diamond turned or polished rims without all of the agro that goes with the clear lacquer, They really are nice now and re furb firms are using them now.
