Wheel rust

Is this worth removing? I’ve read that it’s normal. But can cause damage in the long run? But for now, I just don’t like how it looks. Wanna get new brake callipers, and purple won’t match rust lol.

You can wire brush and paint the hub part of the disc with a rust inhibitor then prime and paint with high temperature paint. It'll look good for a period of time until it starts rusting again. You should get 1 to 2 years ;)

One of my pet hates nice wheels with rusty hubs :(
I find Hammerite smooth paint the best for painting brake disc hubs and calipers as said rub down and remove the rust and finish with two coats of Hammerite - warm conditions help and don’t forget the outer edge of the discs
