Yep, no problem, I've just checked on the Wheelbase, Oldham site, check it out, they are listing 18s, and even 19s and 20s so 18s no problem at all. :)

Yes but no wider than 8" and an ET35, Brabus do a 7.5x18" so I would think that is the optimum size

Tyres are a 225/35 R18 all round

Be aware that doing this will compromise the ride and make you more prone to damaging rims and tyres on potholes.

That fitment is for a later (>93) W202 C Class Tony. The OP's car is a '92 W201

Our 3rd world roads don't reflect using low profile tyres unless you absolutely have to with standard sizes.

There's a few dynamic physics losses too one about torque , loss of handling , acelleration , mpg loss, etc but the one I remember is about additional unsprung mass which about the increased upward force a damper has to endure through travelling over a bump with additional wheel weight . The damper is unable to control the forces as accurately .

Upsizing best complimented with some better suspension .

^ Give us a link Tony. I can only see C Class going back to W202's?
https://www.wheelbasealloys.com/alloy-wheels/mercedes/c-class

Edit....Hmm found a page that claims 15-20" will fit but I'd be dubious. They don't state either ET or Bolt pattern. Also, these are all aftermarket wheels, not OEM.
Regarding ET or Bolt pattern,
they say Best Supplied Fit, so
I'm presuming that's exactly what they'll do. OP doesn't mention OEM wheels, does he?
I'm also going off past experience with, Wheelbase, which has always been excellent. :)

^ Thats fair comment Tony. I have always used alloywheelsdirect in the past for checking fitment/part#s etc and went by their guidance on OEM wheels.

You wont be able to get a deep dish on an 8" wide ET35 wheel

No chance, way too wide for a W201
