Hi all,

I've got a set of crappy 18" alloys on my W210 E200K Estate. I am looking to replace them at some point, but I am unsure what with.
I feel the ride is a bit harsh at the moment with the 18's, what with 40 profile tyres and all (although it looks the part)
Have you any thoughts on the best wheel/tyre size for my model?
I fear the low profile tyres may be putting too much strain on the balljoints etc. a known weakspot.

Regards,

Col

The car will ride fine on 17" with a 40 profile on my V70R I smashed two wheels in two weeks, it will still look good on 17" and that would mean that you could have a 45 profile. there is a huge difference in the ride.

You might want to look at the spoked avantgarde alloys from the facelifted W210, they are flat faced and they always look nice on the saloons but to be honest with you I've only ever seen one estate with them on.
