That feeling would be a bumpy ride feel.
In that case, could it be related to the rear suspension. What do you know about the rear shocks on the car..?
I’m sure it would be a constant thing if it was suspension related, not just under heavy acceleration.

Modern cars have very clever artificial intelligence systems. They learn your driving style.
If your car has learnt that you have a habit of flooring the accelerator when setting off, then if your car has magnetic shock absorbers, it may be adjusting the stiffness.

Could be. I’m thinking to do a transmission reset soon. I’ve got airmatic suspension btw

When I first got the car I could launch it at will, zero traction problems and certainly no violent vibrations from the rear. It’s new and strangely doesn’t happen all the time. But I am sure something’s not right.

hold on, you had an electric car with a worn out flat battery and the original half baked iteration of nasty software to control it. Now its got a new battery and obviously had some massive 6 year newer software updates - all of which will have given it much more power. And now you find you get juddering when giving it full power of the line. So do I, its called a computer trying to stop massive wheel spin.

brand of tyres, tyre pressures, road conditions, ambient temperatures, driving style etc. (and the changes in software) will all make huge differences in grip level and ability to lose traction.

Get the manual out and turn back the level of help on the ESP button, drop the tyre pressures 2 PSI below the round town level, get the tyres to at least 25C, find a dry grippy road and if the juddering suddenly becomes less prevalent you have your answer....

I still think it's over enthusiastic use of the right foot. The car has massive torque (far far more than either BMW mentioned) and "launching it" on a wet, damp or greasy road and expecting the rear wheels not to break traction is somewhat optimistic. Even more so if on summer tyres in low temperatures.

But I was launching it during the summer time after time, constantly achieving clean launches with no drama. And then all of a sudden upon receiving it back from mercedes, it seems to have developed this juddering sensation from the rear when accelerating from a standstill.

Summer.
Warmer temperatures, drier roads, less greasy surface = more grip.
Winter.
Colder roads, colder tyres, greasy surface, damp roads = less grip.

The temperatures changed quite rapidly this year and around the time of your first post.

If I "launch" my V8 SL I can get the rear to break loose with ease at this time of year.

As I said in my first post, if you think it's an issue with the car take it back to MB.

I put a set of winter tyres on my car and never swapped (as do little miles in the car) I got used to its levels of grip over 3 years... Then I refurbed a set of OEM Option 18" wheels and fitted a set of Dunlop 255 45 18 Y MO "summer tyres" (MO - for Mercedes Original spec, I believe). And Oh my goodness the car is DANGEROUS now. You can feel below 11C the ride comfort drops off a cliff - brittle and bumps across bad surfaces and there is NO GRIP at all. If its slightly greasy its so bad it ought to be illegal on public highways

vs what it had, being optimistic I'd say greasy road grip now 80% less than I had , and below 11C ride comfort 60% down. Actually wet greasy road grip on the old ones was actually in many situations higher than I get in the dry above 20C on these dangerous things
