I just developed a fault (ABS, ESP limp mode) with my Merc CLC (CL2038) 2008 220CDI (with 90k mileage) and the scanner points to my rear left wheel speed sensor for error codes as well with live read data (see attached photo).
Tried replacing the sensor today but only to find out that for this specific car the connector port is not as not as accessible compare to the newer models where the port is just hidden behind the wheel well cover. I tried to trace where the old wheel speed sensor cable leads to and it seems like it routes underneath and stops just above the differential?
Does anyone know where exactly do I connect this sensor? I tried looking in and it looks like an axle shaft needs to be remove to be able to access and route the connector lead onto the fasteners..
I thought I would check this first then the reluctor ring/abs ring.
I was also wondering of what would be the difference in the live read data if the issue was the abs ring? Would the reading be erratic?
Thanks!
