Hi all,
I have just spent all afternoon reading past threads on this, much to my wifes annoyance, but I havent yet found a definative answer.
I currently have aftermarket AMG replica (11 i think) 18" fitted with 245x40x18 all round, and I would like to fit some original 18" AMG, but how they should be, ie wider at rear. Has anyone out there done this and could suggest one single option/comination of rim width versus tyre size....please ????
many thanks:confused:

Hi Finleyfishface,

I think I can say with confidence that the best combinations for an SL are: -

Front..18" x 8.5" with 245/40/18
Rear 18" x 9.5" with 275/35/18

OR

Front..18" x 8.5" with 255/40/18
Rear...18" x 9.5" with 285/35/18

I've just been going through the same process and it's amazing how much information you can gather from these guys.
