Hi all,

I'm looking to get some nicer wheels for my 1998 E300TD (W210) Elegance. I really want to stick at 16" wheels as the tyres are all new. I'd also rather avoid larger wheels with a lower profile (to maintain the same rolling radius) as in my experience, you get a harsher ride (oo-err missus). Any suggestions anyone? Any recomended suppliers would also be most welcome.

Cheers.

Dave,
I have an almost identical car, an Elegance model but with Avantgarde suspension.
Here's a picture of it with MB EVO II 17" wheels, 8.25 x 17 with 235/45/17 tyres - it will give you some idea of whether its worth upgrading to 17", but remember your car will sit slightly higher.

You could also try something bigger, such as 18 in, I have use a set of 18 in in mind, and have lower the suspension as well, which make the wheel and tire 'fit' the arch, look really nice.
