Where can I get Mercedes touch up paint?

I live a good way from any dealer - around 50 miles - and am unable to to get away owing to work. All I want is a genuine Mercedes touch up paint dabber can for my 190E, and would like to know where I can get one mail order in UK - ie just ring up with a credit card and get it sent by post.  Any ideas?

This should be available from any Mercedes dealer(worth their salt) who will send it by post direct to you(p&p extra of course).
If your local(!) dealer wont co-operate, try Falcon of Boston(UK) 01205-353534 & ask for Neil Palmer.

Seeking Touch Up Pencil By Post

Isn`t a board like this amazing? Local [London] dealers wouldn`t mail me a touch up pencil for my recently aquired 98 c 240 elegance but a quick search to a post from 2001 recommended a Boston Lincs dealer and Robert is your mother`s brother....in the post tonight.

Cost of touchup paint for MBs from MB dealers.

I visited my MB dealer today and bought a touchup paint kit for my car, colour: 'green-black', which to my eyes still looks like a dark blue metallic. However, the colour does look green under certain lighting conditions and from certain angles.

The kit comprised a tube of coloured paint and a tube of clear laquer, in equal volumes. There were no instrctions but one assumes that some form of rust preventative measures are taken and an undercoat applied before applying the coloured paint and finishing with the laquer.

I was informed that MB dealers keep the most popular colours in stock.

Total cost £7.18+VAT (£8.44).

If ordering by 'phone you either need the MB colour description OR the paint code.

London dealers would not mail the touch up paint....and there's Mercedes trying to tell us their customer service is improving. Will they ever learn??? Or else this is a vast improvement.....at least now they answer their phones to tell you they won't post it.

I had a dealer post me one several years ago. It didn't arrive and I popped in several weeks later to query it. Their answer was that they had sent it so it was my problem. I did ask them what they thought I would want 2 for and had they heard of recorded delivery... - eventually they got me another.
And this was in the 'good old days'!

In answer to the rustproofing/undercoat question - most of the time, its only the top coat thats chipped, so there is no need for anything more than touch up, but I do keep a pot of jenolite, a fine brush and a touch up primer for the more sinister stone chips.

Quick question: where can I find the paint code for my pearlescent blue 260E? I need more than a touch up pen as rust is appearing on the front wheelarches, so I need a full can of paint I think.
