Where do I find the Paint code

Hi I am thinking of buying a SLK and I would like to ask the seller to send me the paint code. Where would they find this? if it is part of the VIN which part?

There should be a black sticker with white righting on the drivers door jam, on the bonnet slam panel and in the engine bay as well

There will be a bunch of numbers, if possible ask them to photo the sticker then post it on the forum as I am not sure which numbers relate to the colour. Some one with more knowledge than me will see you right
