Where to get some Wheels from

HI,

I want to fit my winter tires to some spare wheels instead of changing them each year.

Without spending a fortune on some new AMG Style Alloys for S212 I need 18" rims. I think they are 8.5J and 9J offset.

Any suggestions?

I think the criteria is more "not too expensive". As in some cheap alloys or even steels new or something 2nd hand. Not really bothered bar they look okay/good.

First off I'd look at smaller rims - accepted wisdom is smaller rims with skinnier tyres work better in nasty conditions. Also tyres get cheaper as rim size decreases! Look in your owners manual for acceptable wheel sizes then look on the likes of Ebay for a set of 17" rims with the correct width and offset (J number and ET).

There are loads of second hand sites selling MB wheels, just make sure you get the correct ones.
My 212 winter wheels are 245/45/17 all around, the smaller & narrower the better for winter grip.
But I accept you do have some winter tyres.

Worth a look on the Bay or Facebook market place. Seen some good deals on refurb wheels in our local area.
