How come I've posted a reply to a thread "C class oil level sensor", which has come up as last post on the forum but cannot be viewed??:confused:

Dont worry this happened to me yesterday, it was floating around in space for ½ hour, it could be an oil problem and it slipped.

It is on mine, and this is what you posted;

To check your oil level EXACTLY.



Engine hot.

Leave for 15 mins on level ground.

Insert key & turn to position 1 (not ignition on).

With the steering wheel controls, scroll to either outside temp or MPH (cant remember which one for your car).

Press the reset button to the left of dash cluster 3 times quickly.

You should now have a "new" screen.

Use the menu buttons on the wheel to find a page that has "OI" at the bottom.

Then turn key to postion 2 (ignition on).

Your actual oil amount will be displayed.

You should have 5.5 litres.
