where's the mas sensor?

hello, I am looking to replace the mas sensor on my ml 270 cdi. Any ideas where i'll find it? Iv'e been told it's a straightforward job!?. Cheers

Just follow the air filter towards the bulkhead away from the rad, and you will see it. once you have removed the air filter, the MAF is the round black flange that the air filter goes into, there is normally a multi plug on the side.

I just replaced MAS or Air mass sensor on an E240. It took approx 10 minutes, cost £212,genuine Bosch part, from Eurospares.It was in a similar position to that suggested by Malcolm. Resulted in increased power and downshifting properly, especially in kick-down mode.
