Which Oil for W210 722664 auto transmission

Hello All:
I am pretty confused about the correct oil for my transmission. I plan to do a partial drain-fill and was wondering which oil is correct.

There seems to be some variation in oils. 236.1, 236.2, etc.

Here are the specs.

2000 E320 4Matic
Built in plant 61 (?where is this?)
722664 11 612152 transmission
option 423 5 speed automatic transmission /nag (c.01.01.1996)
last digits of VIn X027962
Delivered 07.14.1999

I have some M-B 236.10 but am concerned about compatibility with the existing fluid.

I did search but found various opinions and more confused then ever.

Thank You and yes I did find that thread.

It seems to say that they are pretty much the same.
I am just double checking to be safe.
If 236.1 is not correct I will pursue finding the correct fluid.
If they are compatible, then I will use what I have.

I have heard that this operation has caused problems for some and I was thinking maybe it was a fluid/oil compatability issue.

For the sums of money involved, I'd recommend phoning your Mercs part desk, giving them the VIN of the car, and seeing what they recommend. If the part number of the oil you have matches what they're recommending, then you're ok.

722.6 Transmission A001 989 21 03 10
722.9 Transmission A001 989 45 03 10
