Which oil?

Hi all, new member with probably a numpty question. My dad inlaws A140 classic lwb 54 plate A class with 57K on the clock is out of warranty and I'm taking over his servicing to save the old guy a few bob. Can anyone recommend an oil that would not break the bank but give a good level of protection. A make and type would be appreciated.

Hello and welcome, the hand book or service book will tell you what oil was used. The main thing is to read the label on the cans to see that it meets MB 229.1 or better there are many oils now at a good price that meets 229.3 and 5.
