which sl?

Im trying to find out info on the older sl series but can not find anything of help. Can anybody guide me to a site that gives details on what to look for when buying, the main differences between a sl250.....sl450 etc etc.
Want to get one but i am a bit stumped as the which model is best and what ones not.

Here's a good UK site to look at. It focuses mainly on the R107 (1971-89) but also looks briefly at earlier and later models...
