I have a 2011 S212 Eclass 200 CGI. I have look around and some say that the Bosch 0242140515 is compatible, some say not. Which is the correct Bosch plug for this car?

Don't know the specific numbers for your car, but I now fit Denso plugs to my petrol cars and have never had any issues. I could purchase Denso cheaper than other equivalent plugs.;)

Use this link to send Mercedes of Newcastle a message give them your reg number or VIN and they will advise which spark plug you need. There are a couple of MB dealers selling online who use eBay and from experience they offer a good service and competitive price I use them for all my spares inc oil and filters

Thank you. Actually Bosch are cheaper from Citroen services at £5.64 each.

Just rang my local MB parts dept and they only have a part number and they do not supply Bosch, but now another make, but it doesn't say the brand. Strange.

Surely that's the place to buy spark plugs for a Mercedes - it is a Mercedes, isn't it?

I never see Bosch plugs for my car, only Beru with an MB star on them.

And definitely do not rely on aftermarket websites to come up with the right plugs. For mine they list Bosch plugs that are completely wrong. I have used Beru and NGK but now I get them from MB.

It's all so complicated these days; back in the 70s, every car I owned took Champion N9Y.
As an aside, I was once at Santa Pod watching Nobby Hills (a big name back in the day) working on one of his cars and he had a whole tray of said candles and was offering them around, saying that they'd all just been used for 10 mins to get some heat into the race engine before swapping for the 'real' ones.

Well gone for the Bosch 0242140515. I will check what is actually in there when I change them.
