In all the time I have been on this forum I have only ever conducted 2 polls..
Both within hours of each other so sorry about that..

I have one more now and I suspect I already know the answer....

My car again with 2 styles of wheel..

First photo is the original wheel..
Second photo is the alternative.

Which should I keep on the car and have refurbished...

The second wheel was used on the older 211's so if you want to make your car look older fit them...

Yes, your 'optional' looks a bit dated - and rather podgy. (imho)

Original equipment twin spoke wheel looks much more modern. I'm not a big fan of the early 211 wheel the spokes always looked too broad to be aesthetically pleasing, easy to clean though.

Well I guess my hunch was right after all..
I better delete my Add on eBay before someone buys my 17" twin spokes..

Thank you all for your comments..

I was all ready and revved up for swapping to the 16" Old style E class wheels..
The idea was to take the 16's to be refurbished tomorrow and so today I refitted the standard 17's..
Went for a drive and thought to myself "Well these aren't that bad after all..

I have to confess the 16's just look that fraction too small for a car the size of an E class.

I wouldn't want larger wheels but I am being soooo damned indecisive over this issue !!:(

I too think the second 5 spoke wheels look clumsy and dated...

I've got the 16" versions of the newer wheel and they look much nicer than the older styles. IMO

I have a winter set of older solid faced with small multi slots and they are a pig to clean!!

Sorry, I must be having a 'thick' moment, can't figure out which picture matches which poll option... So can I just say that the one with the 'double' spokes (picture "2 - Standard.jpg (1 of 2)") looks IMHO much better, the other with the wide single spokes looks somehow heavy to me.
